Playschool

Our playschool curriculum was created by a team of educators from the disciplines of Psychology, Education and Early Childhood. Our team came together to create a play based curriculum presented in an environment that encourages individual growth. We provide high-quality education that promotes creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, empowering our students to become compassionate, confident, and globally-minded individuals.

Our Program

Our playschool program is led by a certified teacher and a team of early childhood educators who recognize that children learn in many ways. We’ve designed a child-centered curriculum that values each child’s unique needs, interests, and abilities. Our staff create a nurturing, stimulating environment where children can grow to their full potential through engaging interactions.

We emphasize child-initiated learning, where discovery, problem-solving, and social interaction drive development. Rather than directing every activity, educators share control with children, offering learning centers and daily opportunities to choose activities such as games, puzzles, sensory play, and crafts. This approach fosters creativity, self-regulation, and cognitive, social, and physical growth.

Inclusion Policy

The B Hive strives to meet the needs of each child in the best way possible. Complex behaviors can present in many ways and differ from child to child. Open communication and collaboration are essential in determining effective support strategies for each individual child. Due to limited resources, we are unable to accommodate students requiring supports beyond a 1:8 teacher-student ratio including those with moderate-severe behavioral or learning challenges, those with a history of oppositional defiance disorder, aggression or physical violence, students who pose a flight risk, or those facing medical fragility. If a child’s behaviors pose a risk to the child or impose on the safety of other children, families may be asked to seek alternative care. The safety and well being of all the students in a room must be considered at all times.
